Trigger price is not fill price
A stop order has a trigger and an execution method. Once triggered, a market-style exit seeks available liquidity, which can produce slippage. A limit-style exit constrains price but may remain unfilled. Futures interfaces can also distinguish last traded price from mark price. Binance's guide to Futures stop orders explains these choices.
Example: if an exit is triggered around 100 USDT while the available order book moves quickly, the actual fill may occur above or below that number. The trigger is not a guaranteed settlement price.
Order-based stops versus account-level targets
A per-position stop-loss or take-profit is different from a combined account PnL target. MW Trader's Setup exposes optional strategy TP/SL settings and account-level profit/loss controls where supported. Their behavior depends on the selected strategy and saved settings. Review the live account configuration before trading; do not infer it from an example on a public page.
A displayed floating PnL may also differ from a target calculation because of exchange data timing, counted positions or net-result adjustments. After any automated close, verify the final position and order history in Binance.
What can prevent the intended exit?
- Extreme price movement or low liquidity can worsen the fill.
- The selected trigger source may not match the price you are watching.
- Exchange restrictions, order rejection or connectivity can delay or prevent placement.
- Liquidation can occur before a stop protects the position.
- A manual change to a Binance position can require reconciliation in the dashboard.
Binance states that even a stop order is not foolproof against liquidation. Treat TP/SL as risk tools, not guarantees.
Before relying on automation
Confirm whether the relevant toggle is enabled, inspect the chosen strategy's settings, and check both MW Trader and Binance after a fill or close. If a browser request times out, do not assume the exchange order failed. The connection guide describes the safer verification sequence.
